Video Art Program
Video art, a significant genre in contemporary art production, has been represented at Preview Berlin right from the start. As an exhibition booth is not always the ideal platform to present this important art form, it has always been a major concern of the organisers to find a suitable presentation form which gives this medium the attention it deserves.
The Preview Berlin – Video Art Program will present the latest video art in a specially sectioned off room (Video Art Box) which has an area of 40m².
During the day, the Video Art Program will show a selection of video works made up of contributions from the galleries participating in Preview Berlin. The screening is thematically open and attempts to create an international overview of current video art.
In the evenings, the Video Art Program will shows screenings, the contents of which will be structured, featuring works by Berlin video artists who examine, for example, the performative nature of video and the interface between music and visual arts.
Both programmes will be curated by Berlin curator Sabine Schütze.
A list of the participating artists will be given at a later date.
